This is a collection of paintings depicting impressions of the western Himalayas, traversing through the mountains of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir and Spiti and other parts in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Vikrant Singh Rathore is an Indian artist based out of Manali. The Himalayan landscapes have been his inspiration, muse and teacher. He believes that it is nature that is a fundamental part of our being and through his paintings he wants to reconnect its marvels with the world.
Trying to capture the essence of the light and the surreal landscapes, the artist has interpreted through the use of brush and knife, the textures and visual abstraction of nature and the spiritual quest one longs to find in the Himalayas.
